What staydiary does

staydiary picks two hotels of different character in one destination and sets out their location, facilities, terms of stay, and listed prices side by side on the same basis. Rather than declaring one better than the other, the aim is to help readers choose the one that fits their own route and schedule.

Every note follows the same structure: summary, disclosure, comparison table, two hotel profiles, choices by travel style, five booking steps, frequently asked questions, price check buttons, and the basis date with sources.

How the information is compiled

The hotel information in each note is not a first-hand stay review. It is a summary of official hotel information and product information provided by sellers. Items that could not be confirmed are marked as missing, for example "not listed in official information", and are never filled in by guesswork.

• A listed price is the seller’s displayed price at the time it was checked. It does not represent the actual payment amount or availability.
• The basis date of each note is the day the material was compiled. Check facility operations and sales terms again before booking.
• The sources section lists the official pages so readers can verify the details themselves.

Operation and revenue

staydiary is operated by Ludnor and covers its running costs through affiliate links and advertising. The price check buttons in a note may lead to an affiliate seller, in which case staydiary may receive a commission. No extra cost is charged to the buyer. For details, see the affiliate disclosure.

Who writes the notes

The name in each byline is the pen name of an editor on the staydiary editorial team. Editors do not write first-hand stay reviews; they organize official hotel information and seller-provided details on the same basis. The destinations each editor covers and the notes each has written are listed on theeditors page.
