The reason to choose this resort is the sea. Official information says the private beach fronts a marine sanctuary, so snorkeling and diving are available within the resort from 09:00 to 17:00. The main pool is open 06:00–21:00 with a water slide and aqua play, the Ocean Wing pool 06:00–18:00, and the children's pool 09:00–18:00. With a slide and aqua play at the main pool, an itinerary alternating between the sea and the pool is possible.
Kids facilities are divided by age. Adventure Zone, E-Zone, and the Toddler's Zone for ages 3 and under are officially listed as open 08:00–22:00, which makes it an easy choice for families with infants and toddlers. Breakfast is served at Tides, but the price could not be confirmed, so compare breakfast-included rates with each other.
January–February water temperatures could not be confirmed. On the Sinulog weekend, road congestion on the Cebu City side may also affect transfers to Mactan's airport, so leave extra time when departing. With a smaller room count, peak-season crowding may be lighter than at Jpark, but availability should be checked first.

Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark
Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark is on M.L. Quezon National Highway in Maribago, Mactan Island. According to official information, it has 820 rooms in total, combining 772 rooms and 48 villas, and 13 food and beverage outlets. It changed its name from Imperial Palace in 2014, and there is no information on a 2026 rebranding. Check-in at 15:00 and check-out at 12:00 are per OTA information, and the airport is about 9 km away, about 20 minutes.

The reason to choose this resort is the water park. Official information lists the island pool at 07:00–22:00, the wave pool, lazy river, and beach pool at 09:00–18:00, and the kids and toddler pools at 10:00–18:00, and the 3 slides are only for those 1.2 m tall or more. If a child falls short of the height requirement, the itinerary has to be built around everything other than the slides, so note the child's height before booking. The island pool stays open longest, from 07:00 to 22:00, but the wave pool and lazy river close at 18:00, so evening swimming centers on the island pool.
There is an indoor alternative as well. Official information says the indoor Pororo Park on the 2nd floor runs sessions of 08:00–12:00, 13:00–18:00, and 19:00–22:00, but whether it is free for guests could not be confirmed. As a facility for rainy days or evenings, it is worth checking the fee in advance. Water sports are available, but the size of the beach could not be confirmed.
The breakfast price could not be confirmed. With 820 rooms, expect crowding at the pools and restaurants in peak season and on the Sinulog weekend. January–February water temperatures are not in official information, and since the resort is relatively close to the airport, the transfer burden even amid Sinulog congestion is described as similar to Shangri-La's. Cebu is outside Agoda's overseas top 10, but it is a destination with clear winter-vacation family demand, and the Seollal holiday (2/6–7) is also a time when bookings surge.
